September 2026 release

The September 2026 release of the VetWarehouses Risk Monitor covers 10,220 published warehouse and logistics facilities across 53 states and territories. In the EPA view, 43 states had enough reviewed facilities to be rated this month; the highest readings — severity-weighted points per reviewed facility, where more serious and more recent records count for more — came from New Jersey (6.25), Washington (5.79) and Louisiana (5.47). The OSHA view rated 43 states, led by Maryland at 0.63. In 27 of those 43 states, at least half the points trace to a single facility, so those readings say more about one site than about a market. The reviewed snapshot changed from 6,091 to 10,220 facilities, so release-to-release differences may reflect both coverage changes and changes in source records. The largest release-to-release difference in the EPA view was in New Jersey: 6.25 in this release versus 13.52 in the prior release. Across the published snapshots, the number of reviewed facilities with matched EPA records was 932 in the prior release and 931 in this release.

Two cautions apply to every number here. These figures describe the facilities we have reviewed, not every warehouse in a state, and coverage runs deeper in some states than others. A state showing no matched records is reporting the result of our review, not a statement that nothing happened. States with fewer than 30 reviewed facilities are reported but not rated.
